[ THE PHILOSOPHY ]

Confidence isn't a personality trait. It's a byproduct of repetition. Academy is built on that idea — heavy reps, game speed, every session, until the skill is automatic when the lights come on.

[ WHAT WE BUILD ]

Four things we focus on every single session.

Four things we focus on every single session.

Four things we focus on every single session.

01

01

Confidence Through Reps

Confidence Through Reps

High-paced, continuous repetition. Skills become muscle memory so they hold up when defenders close out.

02

02

Shooting

Shooting

Form work, range progression, off-the-dribble, off-the-catch. The most transferable skill in basketball.

03

03

Finishing

Finishing

Two-foot finishes, contact finishes, change-of-pace, deceleration. Scoring at the rim in traffic.

04

04

Ball-Handling

Ball-Handling

Tight-space dribbling, change of direction, attacking closeouts. The skill that separates players in tight games.

Dynamic warm-up + ball reps

Dynamic warm-up + ball reps

Two-ball handling, partner passing, footwork ladders. Heart rate up, hands warm, ready to work.

0:10

SKILL block

SKILL block

Heavy reps on the day's focus skill, shooting form, finishing packages, or tight space handles. Quality over chaos, before any defenders enter the picture.

0:25

Live skill application

Live skill application

The block meets the body. Constrained 1-on-1 and 2-on-2 reps, the moment skill stops being a rep and starts being a real basketball decision.

0:45

SMALL SIDED GAMES

SMALL SIDED GAMES

3-on-3 and 4-on-4 with skill-specific constraints. The day's focus shows up under game flow, spacing, passing, reading defenders. Not drilled. Played.

0:50

Cooldown + HUDDLE

What worked, what didn't, one thing to watch on your own this week. Players leave with a clear assignment.

Intense Free Flow Basketball huddle engaging all the players and the three free flow coaches.

[ COMMON QUESTIONS ]

Questions parents actually ask.

Questions parents actually ask.

Questions parents actually ask.

Does my kid need to do Roots before Academy?

No. Academy is open to any player 11+ with basic basketball experience. We assess at the free trial and recommend the right stream — some kids slot straight into U12/14 Academy without needing Roots first.

How many sessions a week should my kid do?

Two is the sweet spot. Three is great if they're targeting Elite invitation. One is fine as a supplement to club basketball — it depends on goals and other commitments.

Can club players come to Academy as supplemental training?

Absolutely — this is one of the most common use cases. Drop-In pricing makes it flexible for players who train with their club mid-week and want extra skill work.

When do invitations to Elite happen?

End-of-term conversations with parents and players. Coaches flag readiness based on skill, attitude, and game IQ. We're transparent about timeline — kids close to invitation know they're close.

What if my kid misses a session?

Lock-In families get a make-up class policy — message us before the session and we'll slot your player into another Academy time that week or next.

Is Roots okay for total beginners?

No. Academy is open to any player 11+ with basic basketball experience. We assess at the free trial and recommend the right stream — some kids slot straight into U12/14 Academy without needing Roots first.
